Its efficient mixing through shaking function proves effective in dissolving samples at lower temperatures, making it an ideal choice for heat-sensitive samples.

What Sets It Apart from the Previous Model?

The newly launched JEIO TECH’s BS2 model ensures stable shaking even under high-load conditions, achieved by minimizing noise and vibration through a low-center design.
Now, let’s have a close look at what improvements have been made compared to the previous BS1 model. 🧐

1. Transparent Cover for Easy Sample Observation

The shaking heating bath has a cover to prevent evaporation of sample or liquid in the bath when using it at high temperatures. The basic cover of the previous model BS1, which is of stainless steel, required to lift the lid to observe the sample. However, the new BS2 series comes with a transparent cover as standard. The transparent cover has the advantage of lower thermal conductivity compared to the previous STS cover, making it safer. Additionally, it allows observation of the internal sample status even during stirring, reducing the frequency of opening/closing the cover and minimizing evaporation.

In particular, the gable roof-shape of the cover prevents condensed water generated during heating from falling onto the internal specimens and increased height accommodates larger sample volumes, up to 2.8 liters of flask capacity.

2. Increased Maximum RPM for Stable Performance under High Loads

Boosting stirring performance, the new BS2 supports up to 200rpm, surpassing the BS1’s 180rpm limit. The motor is BLDC motor ensuring low friction, excellent speed stability, and durability. To enable stable stirring under high-load conditions, it has been implemented a low-center design, minimizing noise and vibration.

3. Equipped with Touch Controller

The new BS2 model features a touch controller, providing a more user-friendly interface. The redesigned controller allows users to check the status and operate intuitively. Users can directly control temperature, stirring, and other settings.

4. Water Level Warning System & Changed Location of Drain Port

To assist users when adding liquid to the bath, it has been added guidelines for the maximum water level. Moreover, the controller issues alerts when the liquid level reaches its minimum point caused by vaporization or external leakage during experiment. This allows users to take quick action and continue experiments smoothly.
Also, adapted from users feedback about the inconvenient rear placement of the drain port in the previous BS1, the new BS2 has relocated the drain port from reat to the front (lower left) side for better accessibility.

5. Convenient USB Port and Mobile Monitoring System (option)

Beside the traditional RS232 port, the new BS2 is equipped with a USB port for convenient experiment recording, monitoring, and control connected to a PC. Furthermore, by integrating with the separately purchasable LC GreenBox, it is possible remote control and monitoring.

Furthermore, the new shaking heating bath(BS2) minimizes sample leakage with smooth start and stop of stirring. And our patented overheat prevention system avoids any potential damages in advance caused by overheating malfunctions. (Korean patent 10-0397583)
